Know your Child's Development Milestones
Screening all children ages 3 & 4 years before entering school helps to ensure every child is getting the support he or she needs to be ready for learning.
The School District of Ladysmith Child Development Days will be held every year. Specific information will be advertised in the community and through school district resources.
The screening will provide you and the School District of Ladysmith with the important information and identify children who may benefit from our resources.
At the child's screening, staff will check:
- Vision
- Hearing
- Speech and Language Skills
- Social and Emotional Development
- Early Learning Concepts
- Large and Small Muscle Movement

Does my child need a developmental screening?
Screening 3 and 4-year-old children for developmental milestones is crucial for early detection of any delays or disabilities. Early intervention can significantly improve a child's development and readiness for school. Regular screenings help ensure that children receive the support they need to thrive.
